Robin Wight Presents Ideas Foundation at Unique Seminar at Cube in Manchester

Robin Wight addressed an audience of creative industry practitioners and creative education strategists at a Seminar hosted by the Comino Foundation and supported by McCann Erickson in March.  Appropriately suited in Purple, he started by establishing his Mancunian credentials.  His grandfather had been a public figure and established Salford Boys Club.

The seminar focused on how the Ideas Foundation could contribute to the growing creative sector in the Northwest and the development of the new Creative & Media Diploma.  Delegates considered the challenges facing the sector and educators in delivering the 2,000 places available to the Northwest in 2008.  The seminar fully endorsed Ideas Foundation as the way to provide students with a real industry experience and prepare both students and employers for short industry placements.

“This is impressive, and exactly what is needed to prepare students for the industry”

Ray Hanks, Special Advisor, Creative & Digital Industries NDWA
